Voting takes place via the Stem van Leeuwarden.
Open Call
Young people and organisations that work with young people can submit their ideas for a Spot through an Open Call. The goal is to collect many different ideas for places and activities that fit what young people in Leeuwarden enjoy and find important.
After the Open Call closes, all submitted ideas are checked first. We look at whether they are feasible and meet the agreed criteria. All suitable proposals are then published online.

Voting round
All young people aged 12 to 27 in the municipality of Leeuwarden can then vote for the ideas they would most like to see happen.
After the voting round, the youth groups and their mentors of the selected ideas receive funding. They can use this money to guide and carry out the activities with and for young people.

Event 2029
With the network of Spots we are working towards a central event in 2029. During this event, all Spots in the municipality become visible and are celebrated. It is a festive and special moment — especially for the young people themselves. They get the chance to show what they have achieved. The event is open to a wider audience.
